Description

The gate to Waterloo Dock, built in the 1830s by J. Hartley, features granite rubble piers with splayed bases, rounded angles, and Doric caps. The left pier includes a window and a rear entrance, which served as a gatekeeper's hut. The original gates have been removed, and 20th-century railings have been added.
