Description
St. Ives is a house dated 1853. It is constructed of stone with a hipped slate roof. The house is two storeys high, with five bays; the second bay projects forward under a gable, and the end two bays are set back with a timber-framed first floor. A sill band runs across the first floor, and the eaves are boxed. The first bay has a lateral stack. The third bay features a paired sash window with an architrave, and the window above has an architrave, frieze and cornice, containing a 20th-century leaded casement. The porch has a gable with decorative bargeboards and a round-arched entrance. Inside the porch, round-headed recesses contain reliefs of fruit and game. A round-headed attic window is set above and bears the date. The remains of a demolished 20th-century conservatory are located to the left of the porch. The left return of the building has a two-storey canted bay and a lateral stack with a niche.
