Description
Alder Grange is a house built in the mid-19th century, with later additions. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building features four bays, with the first bay projecting under a pediment, while the other bays have projecting ground floors. There is a cornice at the ground floor, a sill band at the first floor, and scroll brackets at the eaves. The windows have wedge lintels with segmental heads and are sashed. The first bay includes a stone base with three square windows below a Venetian window that has foliated aprons. The ground floor has three-light mullioned and transomed windows, along with a porch that features flat pilastrade and a parapet. The right return of the building is similar, with round bay windows on the ground floor. Attic windows are located below the eaves.
