Description

Old Halsnead is a 17th-century building located on Foxes Bank Lane in Whiston. It is constructed of stuccoed stone with a stone roof and features a central chimney. The building stands two storeys high and includes a two-storeyed gabled porch that has a round-arched entrance, complete with a keystone and imposts. Above the entrance, there is a three-light window and an armorial crest in the gable. To the right of the porch, there is a five-light window on each floor, and to the left, there are two five-light windows on each floor. All these windows have chamfered stone mullions and leaded panes, most of which do not open.
