Description
Carr House Farmhouse is a 17th-century building constructed from red sandstone with a stone roof. It has two storeys and features a front that reflects two different building periods. The earlier section on the left (north) includes a long, five-light stone mullioned window on the ground floor, complete with a label, and a three-light window above. The larger section on the right has a blocked doorway dated 1660, a modern window on the ground floor, a blocked oval stone, and a six-light window above, all with chamfered stone mullions.
To the right (south) is a gabled two-storeyed wing with altered windows; the ground floor has modern windows, while the first floor features modern glazing in an old wide opening with a label, and a four-light window in the gable. The right end of the wing has a projecting chimney in the center and two windows on each floor, which have been modernized but remain in old openings with labels. The opposite gable end of the wing showcases stone-mullioned windows at different levels. Additionally, there is a new brick addition at the rear.
