Description
The building is a former stable located to the west of The Hazels, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a hipped slate roof. The structure is arranged in a U-plan over two storeys, with a three-bay centre that projects forward beneath a pediment, flanked by two-bay return wings.
A stone band runs above the ground floor, and the central bay includes a round-headed recess, while the return wings have segmental-headed recesses. The ground floor windows are topped with gauged brick flat arches, with some being blind. There are five entrances and garage doors on the left return. The first floor features segmental-headed pitching holes, most of which are blind, although some have sash windows.
Attached to the centre is a 20th-century open-fronted shed, and there is 20th-century infill at the ground floor of the right return's end bay. The north facade has a first-floor entrance accessed by steps.
