  1. Circa 1885-90. Architects E G Paley, K J Austin and E G Paley Junr. Similar to east range. Symmetrically composed around 3-storeyed gabled bay, flanked by 2-storey canted bay windows. At north end this range returns to join north range: 2 ground floor canted bay windows. At south end there is a further extension, forming a T-shaped plan: east end of this has 2-storey gabled extension, with 2-storey canted bay window. Passage through to west of school, passing through a 2-bay arcade: polished granite column, moulded capital, chamfered 2-centred arches.
