Description

Town End House is a house dating probably from the late 18th century, altered subsequently. It is constructed of brown brick in an English garden wall bond, with a stone slate roof now covered with felt. The building has a rectangular plan with an angled rear wing on the right-hand side. It has two storeys and three widely spaced windows on the first floor. The ground floor features a central doorway with a pedimented wooden surround and a glazed, panelled door. There is one window to the left and two to the right, all with raised sills and wedge lintels, now fitted with top-hung casements that imitate sash windows without glazing bars. The first floor windows are similarly altered. A moulded wooden cornice runs along the eaves. Gable and one ridge chimney are present. A small lean-to is attached to the right-hand gable wall. At the rear, the windows include a stair window and have also been altered.
