Description
A pair of large ornamental iron gates, likely from the 19th century, are located approximately 100 metres south of Scarisbrick Hall. These wrought iron gates feature tall vertical bars, some of which are wavy, and are mounted on matching standards. They are supported by a lower stone wall, which is enhanced by large scrolled brackets that have wavy branched stems. It is suggested that these gates may have been imported by the Marquis de Casteja in the late 19th century.
