Description
North Tunley Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of brick with sandstone dressings and has an artificial stone roof. The building features a lobby-entry plan with a cross-wing on the left (west) side and stands two storeys high. The facade is mostly rendered, and the windows are 20th-century casements in enlarged openings with plain reveals. Notably, the first-floor window of the porch is double-chamfered, consisting of two lights with a mullion and hood. There is one bay on each side of the porch, while the cross-wing also has one bay. The right-hand bay is made of exposed brick and lacks a window on the first floor. The outer porch doorway has a chamfered stone surround with a canted head, and the inner doorway is studded with strap hinges. There are chimneys located to the left of the cross-wing and aligned with the porch. Inside, the room to the left of the porch features ceiling beams with quarter-round mouldings and a firehood bressumer.
