Description
The lodge to Farington Lodge is an early 19th-century gate lodge built from ashlar and white brick, topped with a slate roof. It has a T-plan layout and is a single-storey structure. Facing the drive, there is a pedimented portico made of stone, featuring two Tuscan columns in antis and a bracketed cornice. The central doorway has a moulded architrave. Each side wall contains a round-headed sashed window, also with a moulded architrave. The main block has a similar window in each gable, which are adorned with bracketed cornices and pedimented gables. A central chimney stack completes the design.
