Description
Farington House is a house built around the 1830s, now functioning as a club. It is constructed of brick with a stone plinth and stone dressings, topped with a hipped slate roof. The building has a square plan measuring five bays by three bays, with a service wing at the rear. It stands two storeys tall and features a symmetrical façade, with the central bay and the bays on either side slightly projecting forward. There is a stone sill band at the first floor, along with a stone cornice and coping. The entrance has a doorway with a porch supported by Ionic pilasters and columns, topped with a plain entablature. Above the doorway is a tripartite window with a stone architrave, and the coping above features a pediment with a carved stag's head in the center. All windows are sashed with glazing bars, equipped with stone sills and splayed stone heads.
