Description
This is a house built in the late 18th century, located 110 metres west of Beatrix Farmhouse. It is constructed from squared sandstone rubble and features a slate roof. The building has a double-pile plan with a central entry and end stacks, standing two storeys high with two bays. The windows are of three lights, each with plain stone surrounds and square mullions.
Access to the house is now through a late 19th-century gabled stone porch that has projecting quoins. The gable wall of the porch includes a one-light window with a chamfered stone surround, and above it is a niche with a cast iron picture of a sheep, framed by a chamfered surround. The door is located in the right-hand return wall and has a plain stone surround. The house's gutter is supported by stone corbels of 17th-century style, likely reused from an earlier structure. At the rear of the house, there is a tall stair window with a plain stone surround and transoms.
