Description

This 18th-century milestone is located on the west side of the road, near the junction with Chatburn Road. It is made of sandstone and has a rectangular shape. The front face features a shouldered semi-circular top and chamfered edges. The milestone is inscribed with the distances: "To Colne 9 Miles, To Gisburn 4 Miles, To Clitheroe 3 Miles."
