Description

The former font, located 450 metres north-east of Observatory Pond, is now used as a garden ornament. Its age is uncertain. The stem is circular in shape and rests on a later square base that is carved with the instruments of the Passion. The bowl is oval in shape and features decorations that include scenes from the life of Christ.
