Description
The National Buildings, dated 1839, is a two-storey school building located on Moor Lane. It features rough rendering and rusticated quoins, with a central projection. The gable ends have stone kneelers and the roof is covered with Welsh slate. There are three windows on the flanking sections, with the center section being shorter. All windows have stone surrounds and rectangular dripmoulds. The ground floor mirrors the upper floor's window arrangement, but there is a modern one-storey extension to the left that also covers the center. The projecting center has large finials on the gable ends and kneelers, and there is a stone plaque above one window, which has a rectangular dripmould, above a blocked door.
