Description

The sundial, located approximately 8 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Leonard, was constructed in 1808. It is made of sandstone and features a brass plate and gnomon. The sundial has an octagonal shape and is set into an octagonal base stone. Both the cap and base are moulded, and each side of the sundial has a sunken lancet panel. The plate is inscribed with the words: 'Dollond London 1808'.
