Description
Lower Gill Farmhouse is an 18th-century house, marked with 'I S 1692' on a plaque above the door. It is constructed of squared sandstone rubble and has a modern tile roof. The building has two storeys and features mullioned windows with outer chamfers and inner cyma mouldings. The ground floor windows have straight hoods, with one of three lights to the left of the door and one of five lights to the right. On the first floor, there are windows of three lights, three lights, and four lights. The door is set beneath a modern open stone porch and has a bolection-moulded stone surround, a crude pulvinated frieze, and a moulded cornice. The plaque above the door has a moulded border. There is a chimney to the left of the door. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey but is said to have been modernised.
