Description

Laneside House is a house dating from around 1800, originally listed as Lane Side Farmhouse. The building is constructed of rubble with ribbon pointing, featuring sandstone dressings and a tiled roof. It has a double-pile plan with end stacks and stands two storeys tall with two bays. The windows are sashed with glazing bars and have plain stone surrounds. The central doorway is notable for its moulded surround and shaped lintel, which is inscribed with the date 'ANO DO 1679 LR I R I R'.
