Description
The Crown Inn Chambers and Nos 3 to 7 (odd) is a former public house dating from the 18th century, located on Waddington Road. This two-storey building features a rendered exterior and a slate roof, with stone rusticated quoins. The central entrance has a stone surround with a round head, keystone, and impost bands, flanked by two ground floor windows, each with two lights. Above, there is a single-light window between the storeys and two single-light windows in the upper storey. The door consists of six fielded panels beneath a plain segmental fanlight, with a later door added in the corner to the left.
Nos 3 and 5 are three-storey cottages from the 18th century, rough cast in appearance. Originally, each had one window per storey, featuring hung sashes with glazing bars. Currently, No 3 has been incorporated into the former public house, lacking a door and now has a ground floor window with two lights and no glazing bars. No 7 is two storeys high and has the same eaves level as the cottages, with one window per storey and no glazing bars, along with a modern door. There is also a passage door to the right.
