Description

Kirk House is a house dating to 1793. It is constructed from coursed, squared sandstone with a slate roof. The house is three storeys tall and has four bays, with the three bays on the left-hand side being canted. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within plain stone surrounds. The three left-hand bays have sill bands. The front door, located in the right-hand bay, has a plain stone surround with a semi-circular glazed head, Tuscan pilasters, and an open pediment. A moulded stone gutter cornice and gable stacks are present. A lead rainwater head is cast with the date '1793' between bays three and four. There are also gable chimneys.
