Description

Higher Hodder Bridge is a bridge over the River Hodder, likely built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar, with some upper courses rebuilt in rock-faced sandstone. The bridge features two elliptical arches, cutwaters that are triangular in section, and a solid parapet with coping and a string course. Some masons' marks can be seen on the ashlar blocks.
