Description
The Cross of St Paulinus is a cross located in Kemple End, Aighton, Bailey & Chaigley. It is assumed to be ancient, although it may be a 19th-century replacement. The cross is made of sandstone and features a roughly squared socketed base that stands on two squared boulders. The shaft of the cross is very short and branches into a Y shape just above the arms. Its unusual shape suggests that the stone may have originated from a building and was inverted when it was reused.
