Description
Black Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to 1755, as indicated by a plaque on the first floor. It is constructed of squared coursed sandstone with a slate roof. The house follows a double-pile plan, with a central entrance and end stacks. It is two storeys high. Windows have architraves. To the left of the front door is a window with three square mullions, and to the right is a window that originally had two lights, but now has its mullion removed, with two similar windows above. The doorway has a moulded cornice and projecting keystone, although the surround is now plastered and concealed by a modern porch. To the right of the original building is a one-bay extension dating from the early to mid-19th century.
