Description
This ha-ha is located approximately 25 metres south and west of Ashton House in Preston. It is likely from the early 19th century and has been altered over time. Constructed from sandstone random rubble, the ha-ha curves from the southeast around to the northwest sides of the house. It currently stands at about half a metre high, as the associated ditch has partly filled in. There is a modern flight of steps aligned with the front door of the house, and some areas are in a state of disrepair. This structure is included for its group value with Ashton House.
