Description

This is a terrace of cottages located at 239-247 Gisburn Road, dating from the mid-18th century. The cottages are constructed of stone and feature a stone slate roof, standing two stories tall. Each cottage has one window on the ground floor, which consists of either three or four lights. The cottage at No. 239 has a stepped head above its window. The first-floor windows vary, having two, three, or four lights, with all mullions and window surrounds being square. The doorways are plain and have deep stone lintels. To the left, there is a single-storey outbuilding. Additionally, Nos 2 and 4 Fold form the rear wing of No. 239.
