Description
Green Top Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a cottage. It is constructed of free-stone with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The building has a two-cell direct entry plan, which originally included a baffle entry. On the ground floor, there is one three-light window and one four-light window, along with an old blocked doorway to the left. The central doorway is flanked by two single-light openings that are of a later date. The first floor has two three-light windows and a small single-light window above the blocked door. A large single-light window was added as a recent alteration in 1983. Inside, the farmhouse has exposed old beams, and the roof is noted to have a short king post, as recorded by the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England.
