Description

Saddles Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, with a datestone indicating 1714. The farmhouse has a slate roof and a cement-washed exterior, with a central single-storey porch featuring a doorway with returned drip labels and the inscribed datestone. The porch has a roof of stone slates. The farmhouse follows a two-cell direct entry plan. The first floor has two three-light windows with unusual mullion insets, the middle lights of which contain vertical glazing bars. On the ground floor to the left is a four-light window, where two of the mullion insets are missing. To the right, a five-light window has lost all of its mullion insets. Gable stacks are present. An addition to the right side of the farmhouse is not included in the listing.
