Description

The Lamb Working Men's Club, formerly known as Bank Hall House, dates back to 1696, as indicated by a date stone that is now plastered over. The building is constructed of stone with a stone slate roof and features a 'T' shaped plan that includes a hall, a cross-wing, and a porch.

On the exterior, there is one three-light chamfered stone mullion window with a fourth light added to the right, and a seven-light window to the right of the porch with a dripstone above. The first floor has one three-light and one four-light window, with one mullion removed. The building is three stories tall and has a jettied porch with a Tudor doorway that has a moulded head and jambs. Additionally, there is a five-light mullion window where the first and fifth lights are blind, and a two-light window in the gable.

The cross-wing features a plinth with a six-light window on the ground floor and another six-light window on the first floor, which has the fourth and fifth mullions removed, resulting in a five-light window fitted with a plain mullion. There is also a five-light window with an ogee head in the gable. All windows in the cross-wing have moulded and returned dripstones, some of which include small leaded lights. The porch and cross-wing are adorned with moulded coping to the gables, complete with kneelers and finials. The interior of the building has mostly been altered.
