Description
High Park House Farmhouse and the adjoining farm building to the south date from the mid-19th century but contain remains from the 17th century. The structure is built from sandstone rubble and has a stone slate roof. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are modern and have plain reveals. Between the bays, there is a single-storey gabled porch with a re-set outer doorway featuring a moulded surround with a triangular head and a lintel inscribed with 'RB 1680'. The house has gable chimneys.
To the left of the farmhouse, at a lower level, is the farm building. The right-hand bay of the farmhouse appears to be the oldest part, featuring rebated and chamfered mullioned windows with three lights on the ground floor and two lights above. To the left of a straight joint, there is a door with plain reveals and a re-set moulded shaped lintel inscribed with 'IMW 1707'. Further left, there is a wide barn entrance that is now blocked but contains a window, and above it is a pitching door. At the far left, there is a lean-to addition.
