Description

Bridge End Cottage is a house dating from 1734. It is built of sandstone rubble with a slate roof. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. The flush chamfered mullioned windows have glazing bars, some of which have been repaired with cement. The windows are mostly of two lights, with the exception of the left-hand ground-floor window, which is of three lights. A single-storey gabled porch, with a stone slate roof, sits between the bays, and contains an outer door with plain reveals and an arched head. An oval plaque inscribed 'SS 1734' is positioned above the porch. The building has gable chimneys. This property possesses group value from the period.
