Description
7 King Street is a former house or shop, now used as an office, dating from the early 19th century with some 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and has a slate roof. It stands three storeys high and features two bays. The left bay includes a waggon entrance to Bashful Alley, which is topped by a deep stone lintel. To the right of this entrance is a doorway with a plain stone surround. The windows also have similar stone surrounds. The ground-floor window has been enlarged by lowering its sill and now features a 20th-century fixed frame with glazing bars. The first-floor windows are glazing bar sashes, while the shallow second-floor windows have fixed lights with glazing bars.
