Description
The boundary stone known as Askell's Cross is located on the north-west side of Lower Bank House Farmhouse. It dates from the 19th century and likely replaces an earlier stone. The stone is made of sandstone and has a rectangular shape, with two opposite faces chamfered to create a Latin cross. The west face is inscribed with the letter 'T', while the east face features the letter 'C'. Part of this boundary stone is situated in Thurnham Civil Parish.
