Description
Station Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-18th century, is constructed from sandstone rubble and features a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light windows with flat-faced mullions and stone surrounds that have a slight chamfer. To the right, there is a small window with plain reveals. On the first floor, the left-hand window has a surround with a slight chamfer, while the other windows have plain reveals. The front door is framed by a cyma-moulded surround with an ogee shape on the lintel. A chimney is located to the right of the left-hand bay. Inside, the left-hand room features a shouldered stone fireplace.
Adjoining the farmhouse to the east is a barn that projects forward at right angles. This barn has been partly converted into living accommodation. Its west wall, which is at right angles to the house facade, includes a window with plain reveals and a door with long-and-short jambs. The wider shippon end of the barn also projects forward.
