Description
Lamond Cottage is a house that possibly dates from the early 18th century and has been altered over time. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a slate roof. The building has a two-unit central-entry plan with end stacks and stands two storeys high with two bays.
On the ground floor, the windows are composed of three lights, which are rebated and chamfered with mullions. These windows have had their sills lowered and the mullions extended. The first-floor windows consist of two lights; the left-hand window is mullioned and chamfered, reflecting an early 18th-century style, while the right-hand window is rebated and chamfered with a mullion. The door is topped with a stone lintel and has plain reveals.
