Description
Botton Head Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with a slate roof at the front and a stone slate roof at the rear. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with two bays. The windows are designed with three lights and feature flat-faced mullions and surrounds that have a slight chamfer. Between the bays, there is a single-storey gabled porch. Above the outer door of the porch, which has plain reveals, is a plaque inscribed with '1666 II'. The farmhouse has gable chimneys and coped gables with kneelers. Inside, the right-hand front room includes a shouldered stone fireplace.
