Description
Bellhurst Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century, is accompanied by a barn built in the mid-18th century. The structure is made of sandstone rubble and features roofs of slate and stone slate. It has a central baffle-entry plan and consists of two storeys with four bays. The windows are designed with rebated and chamfered surrounds, although the mullions have been removed. There is a door located to the right of the second bay, which also has a chamfered surround. The chimneys are aligned with the door and are situated on the right-hand gable. The barn, located to the left of the farmhouse, contains a blocked two-light window with a flat-faced mullion, and above it on the first floor is a pitching door. Further left, the front wall of the barn is obscured by a later lean-to, which also covers the left-hand gable wall. Inside the farmhouse, there is a chamfered firehood bressumer, and on the first floor, the walls are adorned with plank and muntin panelling.
