Description
Bailrigg Farmhouse is a house built in 1718. It is constructed from slobbered sandstone rubble and has a slate roof. The building features a double-pile plan and consists of two storeys with an attic, arranged in two bays. The windows are of three lights, with rebated and chamfered mullions. The ground floor windows likely have had their sills lowered. Above the central doorway, there is a drip course, and the doorway itself has a moulded surround and a shaped lintel, which displays the date '1718' and initials that are partly obscured by a modern light fitting. At the rear of the house, there is a stair window with two transoms, although the middle light has been blocked.
