Description
Oxcliffe Hall Farmhouse is a house built in 1644 and 1697, with some alterations. It features rendered rubble construction and a modern tile roof, forming an L-plan layout. The building has two storeys with attics. The east wall of the south wing consists of three bays, with either modern or sashed windows that have rendered reveals. There is a drip course above the first and second bays. The left-hand bay contains paired sashed windows. The central bay has a door with a moulded surround and a lintel inscribed with '1697 ETE'.
The north end wing projects towards the east and has a drip course over the ground floor, with its south wall comprising one bay. The east gable wall features a chimney stack that projects at first floor level, supported by three stone corbels. There is a window with a hood on the first floor, and above it, a blocked attic window. Inside this wing, there is a fireplace with a lintel inscribed 'RT IT 1644'. The main attic contains hardwood trusses, some of which have curved principals.
