Description
Park House and the attached barn are likely from the early 19th century. The house is rendered and has a slate roof, standing two storeys tall with two bays. The windows are sashed and framed in painted plain stone surrounds. The door, located between the bays, features a similar stone surround. There are gable chimneys on the house. The barn projects forward on the left side, and the junction with the house is covered by a single-storey lean-to porch that has a cement-rendered roof. The rear wall of the house is made of slobbered rubble and includes a re-used 17th-century chamfered window surround, along with a narrow 12-pane stair window that has plain reveals. The barn is constructed of white-painted rubble and cobbles, topped with a slate roof. It features a segmental archway above timber doors. To the left of the barn is an outshut that contains either a shippon or stables, and to the right is a window with plain reveals. A chimney rises from the front wall, aligned with the left-hand wall of the lean-to porch. The interiors of the house have not been fully inspected, but the left-hand ground-floor room contains boxed axial beams. The barn consists of five bays with sawn softwood tie-beam trusses.
