Description

Green Meadow is a house built in 1744. It features pebbledashed rubble and has a steep slate roof. The layout consists of a 2-unit central-entry plan with end stacks, and a third unit on the right that has a gable angled to align with the road. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. Most windows have plain reveals and are modern, except for the first-floor windows in the first and second bays, which are sashed. The entrance door is covered by a modern glazed porch. The door surround has cyma moulding that continues around a battlemented lintel inscribed with '1744 HBE', which is a late example of this type of lintel. There are later extensions at the rear of the house. Inside, the middle room features a shouldered stone fireplace.
