Description

The walling to the west of the archway in the churchyard of the Parish Church of St Peter is likely from the mid-19th century, incorporating some earlier fragments. It is constructed of sandstone rubble. The central section of the wall features two sets of quoins from a demolished outbuilding, with a blocked window opening between them that has chamfered stones for its sill and jambs. On either side of the quoins are blind balustraria designed in a 19th-century gothic style. To the left, there is a blind pointed chamfered window surround.
