Description

Chorley's Bridge, also known as Number 124, is a bridge over the Lancaster Canal that was opened in 1797. It is constructed from large punched gritstone blocks and features a single semi-elliptical arch with a projecting keystone. Beneath the solid parapet, there is a string course with rounded coping. The bridge is located to the rear of Number 23 Main Road.
