Description

Cut Lane Bridge, built around 1810, spans the Leeds-Liverpool Canal and was designed by engineers Robert Whitworth and Joseph Priestley. The bridge is constructed from sandstone blocks and features a coursed rubble parapet. It has an elliptical arch adorned with rusticated voussoirs, bands, and parapets that rise to a point in the center, complete with coping and pilastered ends.
