Description
The stable block, likely built between 1801 and 1802, is located on the east side of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, directly opposite the canal company warehouses. It is constructed from coursed sandstone and features a slate roof with a chimney on the left gable. The building has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys tall, with its gable facing the canal. On the ground floor, there are three wide segmental-arched doorways, while the upper floor has two smaller doors and two two-light windows. The left gable includes one door on the ground floor and another above. This stable block is part of a group with the canal company warehouses situated across the canal.
