ACCRINGTON RICHMOND HILL STREET SD 72 NE Richmond Hill Street Works 5/29 (Top Shop) - south block only - - II

Engineering workshop, 1888, originally for Howard and Bullough (Globe Works), manufacturers of textile machinery. Rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings. Rectangular plan 13 x 4 bays. Four storeys; quoins, 1st floor sill string, prominent moulded cornice; ground floor has round-headed openings with ashlar voussoirs and keystones (some altered), the 3 upper floors have segmental-headed windows with keystones. Glazing entirely altered.
