Description

A terrace of three small town houses, built around 1850 to 1860 in Lytham St Annes. The houses are constructed of brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with sandstone dressings and a slate roof. The rear and sides are in English garden wall bond. Each house follows a double-depth plan and is single-fronted, with extensions at the rear. The terrace is two storeys high and has 2+2+1 windows. The second and fourth bays project slightly, featuring corner pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. The second and fourth bays have doorways with pilastered surrounds and moulded cornices, although the doors and overlights have been altered. Number 51 has a single-storey, cross-gabled porch to its return wall and a canted bay window to the front. All other windows are unhorned 12-pane sashed windows, with similar windows at the rear.
