Description
Rawlinson House is a farmhouse, likely built in the late 18th century, which has since been converted into a house. It is constructed of coursed sandstone with quoins and features a stone slate roof, gable copings with kneelers, and a gable chimney. The building has a double pile, two-bay plan, with a modern extension on the left end that uses compatible materials and style.
The house is two storeys high. The doorway is offset to the left and has a segmental canopy supported by moulded brackets. Above the doorway is a datestone with a round-headed panel that is now lettered conjecturally as 17. The original flush mullioned windows on both floors have mostly been replaced with modern casements. There is one three-light window to the left, two two-light windows to the right, and two three-light windows at the flat floor. Similar windows are also present in the end and rear walls.
