Description
Heskin Old Hall Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed from watershot coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. The roof features red tiles at the front and slate at the rear. The building has a square four-room plan and stands two storeys tall with a symmetrical facade. It includes a plinth, a band, raised quoins, and a moulded eaves cornice. The central round-headed outer doorway has a panelled surround, imposts, and a keystone, leading into a recessed porch with a panelled inner door. There are two 16-pane sash windows at the ground floor and three above, all with plain square architraves. The farmhouse has two chimneys at each gable end. The gable walls and rear have been altered, but some original 2-light and 3-light sliding sashes remain at the first floor. The interior is of less interest.
