Description

The stables located approximately 100 meters north of Haigh Hall are a stable block that has been partially converted into a golf club house and information centre. The key to the rear arch is inscribed with "C & B/1865". The building is constructed of red brick, featuring stone as well as blue and yellow brick dressings. It stands two storeys high and consists of seven bays, with the central bay projecting forward and topped by a tower. The end bays also project forward beneath gables. The structure has a stone base, quoins, and a cornice at the top.

The central round-headed archway displays an armorial bearing on the key and has an impost course. The tower includes two round-headed windows with blue and yellow brick surrounds and a round opening above for a clock face. The top stage of the tower features a sill course and three round-headed windows on each side, all of which are boarded. The top has an entablature with a bracketed cornice, a pyramidal roof, and an ostrich weather vane.

The flanking bays contain segmental-headed windows with blue and yellow brick surrounds; most of these are boarded, while some have sash windows. The first bay has altered windows, and the end bay features a round plaque with a crest. The rear of the building has a dated key. There are two wings, with the left wing altered and the right wing having segmental-headed openings, although the doors are missing. This building is included for its group value.
